Marvellous and Mischievous, Literature’s Young Rebels
British Library, London
York Art Gallery, York
All children love a rebel. For six months, amongst the vaunted tomes of the British Library, the kids had their chance to revisit some of their favorite stories.
Marvellous and Mischievous was a first for the library, an exhibition that focussed solely on a younger audience. An exhibition that embraced colour, play and fun through custom wallpaper design, bookmark themed labels and plenty of vinyl stickers.
Author Onjali Rauf spotted Ahmet’s backpack in the wallpaper.
Lauren Child, author of the Charlie and Lola series (and many more) opened the exhibition, which featured original artwork from her books.
