The Mill

The Mill is a Manchester news start-up, delivering long reads via email, specialising in quality, investigative journalism. Founded by Joshi Hermann in his bedroom at the start of the pandemic, I was an early subscriber (hitting a Facebook ad by chance) and impressed by the quality of work.

To mark their first birthday I reached out to Joshi, and we worked up a print edition, featuring the best stories of the year. It grew from a vague idea of a 4-page leaflet into a 54-page special edition, printed at the Reach MEN Chadderton press.

15,000 copies were printed and distributed across Greater Manchester. A pleasure to work on.
